Franklin’s own Saffire Restaurant in The Factory

One can’t help but feel like they have stumbled upon a well kept local secret when discovering Saffire, tucked cozily in Franklin’s historic Factory. Upon entering,  the amazing atmosphere immediately stands out: a gorgeous wood bar on the right, huge panes of blue stained glass hanging intermittently and just the right amount of mood lighting to evoke intimacy.

Locally Sourced Menu

Known for sourcing local farmers, Saffire’s menu changes seasonally. This means that only the very best and freshest ingredients get used in the chef’s Catch of the Day creations. Open for both lunch and dinner, many menu options can be found at either time. Saffire also offers a Happy Hour from 3-6:30 which is a great opportunity to grab a drink and one of their yummy appetizers. Of course, like any true local favorite Saffire does provide a couple of staples that keep the masses well satisfied. Per General Manager, Jacob Doyle here are a couple standbys:

  • Saffire Martini- hands down, the # 1 drink ordered
  • Prime Rib- truly tender and tasty
  • Legendary Chicken Fried Chicken- (personal choice of cSocially’s Mr. Crutcher)

Social Media

Recently Saffire discovered ScoutMob to be an effective method of reaching clients via mobile devices since the app also gives discounts to subscribers. Naturally, they also have success with both Facebook and Twitter, utilizing the power of images and descriptions to gain followers and customers. Social media allows Saffire to keep a constant update on the various events hosted there – such as the recent beer tasting with local brewery Turtle Anarchy as well as remind people about the catering and private events available.

So, tell me–have you been to Saffire yet? How did you hear about it? Please post a comment or feel free to email me your thoughts at  jenn@csocially.com
